Auguste Rodin will be coming.
Ushba Tesoro as well. He ran a G2 on the NAR circuit on Sept 23 at Funabashi. (the press here always seems to love noting how "nar is a 2nd tier circuit" in the same breath, every time they mention his name.)
Despite that this horse won the Dubai Cup.
Trying to figure out WHY they insist on doing that, like every single time this horse's name is mentioned? . Are they afraid that another all-dirt circuit may prove itself somewhere on the planet where horses still race on ...um.....dirt?
Finding this really annoying. Maybe they are so busy looking at the circuit instead of the pedgiree? Orfevre out of the King Kamehameha.
The race at Funabashi is a G2 tightener. Horse is coming off the shelf and will be plenty fresh.
Edit: this isn't a pick, just an observation.

ARCADIA, Calif. – Breeders’ Cup Classic contenders Arabian Knight and White Abarrio were the big news at Santa Anita on Monday morning, the former turning in a terrific work immediately after the second renovation break, the latter after having a scheduled work for the race, with jockey Irad Ortiz Jr. aboard, postponed, tentatively, until Wednesday.
Ortiz was scheduled to fly to Los Angeles on the red-eye to work White Abarrio, whom he guided to a convincing 6 1/4-length victory in the Grade 1 Whitney at Saratoga in his last start on Aug. 5. But he never boarded the flight after being informed Sunday by trainer Rick Dutrow that the work would not take place.
“We weren’t able to work him this morning,” was all Dutrow would say at the barn on Monday. “Hopefully we’ll get to gallop him tomorrow and work him Wednesday, although because of the timing that likely means we won’t have Irad, who told me he was really looking forward to coming out to work this horse one time before the Breeders’ Cup.”
Practical Move is entered here and the BC Dirt Mile. I think it's possible he can take whichever race he runs. Odds would be greater in the Classic. I like him either way.

From David Grening of DRF today
“Thought White Abarrio looked terrific working 5/8s in 59.68 seconds just now and the energy he displayed jogging back was impressive as well.”
“Richard Mandella postponed a scheduled 7-furlong work Friday for Classic contender Geaux Rocket Ride. Said the horse’s feet were a little tender after getting new shoes. Plan is to work Saturday.”

ok-i see he suffered a catastrophic injury this morning sumhow you neglected to mention that too bad because yesterday everyone knew (except smith/mandella/pin oak?) and "the bc vet team" he didn't belong
don't blame the messenger
Never tell me the odds-han solo, the empire strikes back

I know from way back in the KY derby prep and onward, you have stuck by "your horse". I hope he makes ya proud!

I would be surprised if Saudi Crown went off at 12-1 . He’s on my all dirt Pick 4 ticket with Zandon another 12-1 shot. It’s Frankie’s World and we are just living in it.
then why aren't you using saudi crown? my salad days keep mentioning him and as arcangelo is out i am leaning his way u and otis like him and u personally are playing him
what more do u need? why aren't we playing 5 in the classic?

You must have me confused with someone else. I have never been on SAUDI CRown,?
Saudi Crown not my horse, I only mentioned him 1x, before arcangelo scratched, as someone he would have to "deal with" from post #1. (White abarrio also being close by in post position)

sorry, i guess i thought "dealing with" qualified him as a contender...we are getting close to decisions you DON'T think saudi crown should be on ticket?
